Launch Boom & configure your video input

  1. Launch Boom and select your camera (1).

💡 Note: Your camera choice will only need to be set the first time you launch Boom or if your camera device has changed.

Launch Zoom & select Boom as your video input

  1. Launch Zoom and jump into your settings (1).

  1. Click on the “Video” category (1) and select Boom from the drop down under “Camera” (2). This will allow Boom overlays to be seen on your calls.

  1. If you see Boom's overlays flipped in your video, don't worry! It's just how it looks to you, not to others. To fix it, uncheck "Mirror my video" (3).

To keep it simple, just remember that the other participants on the call will always see your video feed exactly as it appears on the Boom Canvas or Boom Mirror.

  2. In the “Background & Effects”category (1), you’ll want to set all of Zoom’s video effects to “None” (2). This will ensure that Zoom does not interfere with Boom’s overlays. Remember to click on each tab: Virtual backgrounds (3), Video Filters (4), and Avatars (5).

  1. When screen sharing with Boom, you might find that the other callers can see Boom’s Presentation Remote. To make sure this doesn’t happen, click on Share Screen (1), “Share individual window” (2), Advanced (3), and ensure that there is a check mark in the box next to Share selected app window only (4).

That’s it, you are good to go!
