Boom's Menu Bar App and the Boom Mirror

Boom's menu bar app lives in the menu bar at the top of your screen and is always running in the background. You can use the menu bar app to quickly turn your camera on and off, mute and unmute your mic, hide the Boom Remote, open the Boom Studio, and quit Boom.

You can also access the Boom Mirror from here. Use the Boom Mirror to get a quick look at yourself before connecting to a call to make sure you and your setup look just right! The Boom Mirror will show you exactly how you will appear to others on a call (with a small exception when using Google Meet).

Boom will automatically connect to your calls as long as Boom is in your menu bar and you've selected Boom as your camera on one of your previous calls.

Boom's menu bar icon will turn green whenever you are connected to a call.

💡 Note: If you use any of the new MacBooks that come with a notch and you have a lot of items in your menu bar, you may not be able to see Boom’s menu bar icon. Its probably because Boom is being hidden somewhere behind the notch. We suggest that you close out some of the the items in your menu bar (you can reopen them after but they may become hidden as well) until you see Boom's icon , then cmd+click on the icon and drag it all the way to the right. This way it will always be visible.
